On January 21, 1828, the Vermont Mutual Fire Insurance
Company became the first insurance company founded in
the state of Vermont. We had a head start, but we didn’t
rest. Your needs have changed, and we’ve kept up
to ensure that you have the coverage you need for your
personal and business needs.
Today, we’re the Vermont Mutual Insurance Group®,
made up of three unique companies, providing insurance
products to clients in all the New England States and
in the State of New York.
Over the years, our strength, integrity, and long-standing
tradition of quality protection and services, has helped
us grow to serve more than 250,000 policyholders through
more than 400 independent agents. That means more than
a quarter of a million people sleep better at night knowing
that the assets they’ve worked for are protected.
Season after season, year after year, all of us at the
Vermont Mutual Insurance Group® have dedicated ourselves
to providing a comprehensive array of quality insurance
protection solutions for home and automobile, commercial
risks, dwelling property, inland marine and other personal
and commercial insurance needs.
